Account and Data Deletion
How to delete your Parmo account, what is erased immediately, and what stays.
Effective 1 November 2026 · v2.0
Deleting your account
Promoters can do it themselves, in the app, in under a minute. No email to support, no waiting period, no form.
- Parmo app for iOS or Android: Profile tab → Account → Delete account, type the confirmation word shown, then tap Delete account.
- Parmo for organizers (web app): write to privacy@parmo.io from the address on the account, and we will delete it within 30 days.
Deletion is immediate and permanent. There is no undo, and signing up again with the same email creates a new, empty account.
If you cannot sign in, write to privacy@parmo.io from the address on the account and we will delete it within 30 days.
What is erased straight away
- Your login: email address, name, password hash, and every sign-in session with its IP address and device details.
- Your promoter profile: city, the location coordinates if you shared them, your music genres, and your 18+ confirmation.
- Your Instagram connection: the encrypted access token, your Instagram user id, username, account type and follower count.
- All your gigs, open or finished: requests and invitations, the story records with their Instagram ids, posting times, reach and views, and the rewards, door codes and check-ins that belong to them. Organizers you worked with no longer see you or those gigs. This includes rewards you earned but have not used yet, so use them before you delete.
- If you are the only owner of an organizer business: the business, its team and open team invitations, its brands and brand pages, all its events and event pages, the gigs of every promoter on those events, and its uploads (flyers, logos, story material, ticket files).
Disconnecting Instagram alone, without deleting the account, removes the token, your username, account type and follower count, and the reach and view figures of your gig stories, and stops all further reading of your Instagram data. That is under Profile → Instagram → Disconnect in the app. You can also revoke Parmo from inside Instagram’s own settings, which removes the token and the connection at once.
You can also start from Instagram: remove Parmo under Instagram → Settings → Apps and websites and ask for your data to be deleted. We then erase the Instagram data we hold about you (the connection, the token, your username, account type and follower count, and the reach and view figures of your stories) and you get a confirmation code with a link to a status page that confirms the deletion. Your Parmo account itself stays until you delete it.
What survives, and why
- If you are a team member of a business that has another owner: the business, its events and the gigs on them · Why: They belong to the business and its other owners. Events you created and check-ins you made stay, without your name · For how long: As long as the business exists
- A ticket file an organizer handed to you · Why: It is the organizer’s file from their ticket vault. It stays with them and is no longer linked to you · For how long: Until the organizer removes it or deletes their business
- Email we already sent you · Why: It is in your mailbox. We keep no copy and no sending log · For how long: Yours to delete
- Request and error logs that mention your requests · Why: Keeping the service running, and investigating abuse and faults · For how long: Up to 7 days, set by our hosting provider
- Database backups · Why: Restoring the service after a failure. They are not used for anything else · For how long: Until they are overwritten on our database provider’s backup schedule
- Instagram stories you posted · Why: They are on your Instagram account, not ours. Deleting a Parmo account does not touch them · For how long: Yours to delete
